As we work to win full equality for women in America, we cannot overlook the retirement gap. Because they are much more likely to earn less than their male counterparts, women in America typically have far less money saved up for retirement.
That's why today, @DonaldNorcross, @RepBonamici and I introduced the Women's Pension Protection Act. The bill improves spousal access to retirement plans, makes more long-term and part-time workers eligible for retirement plans, and improves financial literacy.
My friend Senator @PattyMurray has already introduced the same bill in the Senate.
