The Supreme Court rules/ governs, based on the constitution & how it’s interpreted. They don’t make the laws & repealing them is rare & involves other parts of the government. You ppl protesting the nomination look down right stupid for not knowing how the judicial system works

So thankful the
#Republicans persevered for 40 years of being blocked by#Democrats in Congress! Sen. Sargent sponsored the bill that became the 19th Amendment! When Rs took control of Congress in 1918, they voted for women’s right to vote! 26R states and 10D states ratified! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Dear Rep. Jan Schakowsky, women won the vote 98 years ago, not 80 years ago. I have every intention of celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage with my sisters, including you, two years from now!
