Congress never cuts existing benefits. Those already in the system are grandfathered, if that gives you any comfort.

How about removing the cap of $128,400 for paying into Social Security. Pay it no matter what the earned income. We are always hearing about the upper wage earners not paying their fair share, well Social Security is a good place to start.
