What a shame. Our space telescopes seem to be a almost irreplaceable resource considering today's realities. I'm dreading the day Hubble is lost.

The new multi mirror giant ground telescopes will soon, if not already, surpass Hubble. Not that it won't be a sad loss, but we really won't be losing capability. I'd like to see a giant telescope array on the dark side of the moon. Probably could be done cheaper than Webb.
