Also that big chunks of the testimony provided by Baffert’s expert witnesses was either recanted or tossed because it was questionable science.

The order has some interesting revelations (to me at least) that the stewards quietly searched Baffert’s barn as soon as the positive was confirmed, and did not find any ointment, which, if the groom had been applying to Medina Spirit twice a day might have been expected?

Not an unexpected result. The recommended order goes to the full racing commission for a final order and could be appealed further to the Circuit Court. And frankly that could be worth the price of admission if it goes back to Judge Wingate, who is often entertaining.
