Felt similarly about Brave winning best animated picture over Wreck-It Ralph. Like how?

NYPD Blue was also way more edgier, grittier and a way better representation of life as a detective!!

The Wire won zero, although as people have pointed out that really makes the Emmy’s look a lot worse than it does The Wire
-
That is damning.

Yeah, when you have a choice between a paint-by-numbers procedural and a character-driven drama from the greatest writer in the history of the medium, Lenny Briscoe's wisecracks rule the day...

A complete outrage. Sam Waterston is a gift to us all. Jerry Orbach, S. Epatha Merkerson - gifts ALL.

Law and Order totally prosecutors' mindset. Pushes for more authoritarian laws. As a defense lawyer, can't stand it.

I think that is not fair. They did show Jack McCoy pushing the envelop (and critical about that). It did the same with cops. Yes, the prosecutors and cops were presented as good, but this was not hagiography. The show was not Blue Bloods.

An absolute outrage. They've won a combined 21 more Emmys than they should have.
