That's correct Australians don't realise how serious this is Scott Morrison has regulated that the GG's pet project will receive $4 million - every year! There is no end date in the document So it could cost taxpayers $40 million, $80 million - nobody knows #GGGate #Insiders

It turns out that the 18 million is just the start of the rip off as they get 4 million in perpetuity. This is getting bigger every day the theft of tax payers money.

'Former staff of the Commonwealth Employment Service are calling for the return or a similar employment body'. They think the industry has gone backwards in the last 20 years. It's now all about private profit rather than people. Another Howard-instigated privatised flop

When they call us thugs, they are calling hard working Australians thugs - the people who care for you in hospitals, who care and educate children, tradies and supermarket workers. We deserve better than these insults

Sussan Ley, on why she's not attending the #JobsSummit: "I refuse to share a room with Union thugs..." Is this the best the LNP can muster? They really are running on empty!

Much bullshit about the Greens etc in the Senate blocking the Voice Referendum. They can't. The Constitution,Section VIII, says if the Reps pass the legislation twice in three months the GG has to rubber stamp the referendum.Too much for the Canberra press gallery to understand...

Approaching this evening with mixed feelings: my swansong at the ABC after 55+ yrs. But what a treat: I’m presenting the Aust World Orchestra concert from the Opera House live It will be a very satisfying ending to what has been an amazing career in the ABC family.

Can’t read the article but I’m gathering that students have got an online community going to trade their dirty laundry and old pizza boxes. Wish we’d had that in my day, no pathway to monetisation at all!

I am in awe of Raina, of her deep knowledge in pandemic preparedness & responses, and of her courage. This award is richly deserved. I am proud to stand beside her, as are many other colleagues, in helping reduce the impact of COVID-19 and other infectious health threats.

In South Korea 🇰🇷, the solar panels in the middle of the highway have a bicycle path underneath - cyclists are protected from the sun, isolated from traffic, and the country can produce clean energy.

Imagine the total populations of NYC + LA + Chicago + Atlanta + Seattle all lost their homes & livelihoods at the same time. In #Pakistan 30 MILLION people have done so, amid >2 mos of monsoon flooding + Himalayan glacial melt. And it's not letting up.

I’m on the Aged Pension For the first time, I went to a food bank to get some fruit and veggies. I paid what I could afford Bless all those who donate to these organisations, and the volunteers who staff them I can’t imagine how struggling families would manage without them

In all my decades of covering national politics I think this was the most grimly consequential story I covered. It opened the Pandora’s box of xenophobic racism and fear that political leaders had kept the lid on since the end of the White Australia policy. Thank you John Howard!
