1/7 Hello Friends! Today for Misinformation Monday I wanted to talk to you about Monkeypox, since it has been circulating as only effecting queer men who are having sex with other men alongside dangerous messaging that is putting people at risk.
[Image description: On a grey background, navy blue text at the top reads 'Some Facts about Monkey Pox.' Below are coordinating numbers and facts, which will be written in the plain text in the post.]

This reminded me of a conversation I had with a Ukrainian friend the previous night. He told me that there’s no word for frustration in Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian or Bulgarian. So we discussed ways to describe it and landed on somewhere between anger and disappointment.

That had never happened to Dodo before because his life had been so peaceful before humans bothered him. 5 yo said “yeah he probably never felt such big feelings before. Like being sad or mad.”

Then one day humans (they’re usually the bad guys in my stories 😆) found Dodo and his cave and were scared of him so they kept trying to hurt him. Dodo got super frustrated and breathed fire from his mouth.

It’s Primary Election Day in MD and I just realized last night although I’ve had a yard sign in my yard for a few months, I’m not in her district so I won’t get to vote for her. 🤪 I will be voting for now that I know which district I’m in. 😁 🗳

"Prison labor ubiquitous in Arizona — and not just behind bars. Incarcerated people work in kennels for pet adoption agencies, they make woodwork for private home construction companies, they act as janitors and groundskeepers at schools."

How do you define a soulmate? Do you believe in soulmates? Why or why not? If you believe in them, do you think you/people have one or many? Do you believe you have met yours? Has your belief in soulmates changed over time?

Important thread about 988!
Quote Tweet
Thoughts from a suicidologist on the new 988 crisis hotline: 1. Having a simple number is good. 2. Having more trained crisis teams is good. 2. It's still linked to nonconsensual active rescue which means they can & will trace your call & send police if they deem it necessary.
