It’s kind of a problem that from beat cops to the upper echelons of the FBI, many of the people we issue guns and ask to keep the peace have demonstrated sympathies for white nationalism and violent fascism.

We don’t talk enough about the urgent need to de-radicalize the nation’s law enforcement agencies, which have repeatedly demonstrated unacceptable sympathies for violent right-wing insurrectionists and hostility to peaceful protesters, particularly black protesters.
