Powerful statement from @RoKhanna placing the Supreme Court decision gutting the Voting Rights Act in the context of hundreds of years of slavery, Jim Crow, and ongoing efforts to disenfranchise Black people.

This is not what the Supreme Court does. John Roberts’ opinion gutting the Voting Rights Act, for example, was not based “purely around the details of the constitution,” it was based also on a fundamentally wrong assessment of racism in contemporary America.pic.twitter.com/UIhXTIKwsd

I genuinely wonder: what's the purpose of a tweet like this? It's not making any kind of point, and, though you are surely a nasty person, it's not nasty enough to be an effective troll. What's the essential difference between tweeting this and just sitting there doing nothing?

The fun thing about the constitution is it doesn’t prescribe the size of the Supreme Court and provides a mechanism to change the size of the Court by simple legislation, which has been used in the past. Why do you hate the constitution, Stu?
