You'd wouldn't be able to adapt a game. Youd just have to create a new entry from scratch. Make it easier for yourself ya know?
That’s basically what I was getting at. In order to fit into the current timeline they have to make something new makes it incredibly difficult given the events. Still, there’s room, but it’s dwindling.

You dont even really have to account for any other entry. Almost none of the games do. Ocarina" Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild all take place 1000s of years apart just in a character rebirth cycle. Hyrule always looks different. Not many direct sequels in the series.
