I don't debate the first point, but Android is a viable alternative, saying otherwise is just being ignorant.
Also, a large portion of the Android ecosystem is open source. Yeah there is a lot of propietary stuff on top of it but it is more of a free software than iOS, your point is invalid and biased.

Open source and free software, AOSP uses the Apache license, which is free. I should've said open source and free, but still.
