She should review the Constitution. The Electoral College ensures high-pop. states don’t steamroll the interests of less populated states. It’s a facet of our democratic republic. In a straight democracy, a majority might vote to infringe the rights of a minority. (1/2)

Because less populated states matter in presidential elections, candidates can’t ignore the bulk of the nation in favor of NY, CA, FL and TX.

Warren's 'fear mongering'. Yes - USA's democracy is ailing. The fact Trump got the POTUS gig is a rather attenuated indicator of the health of USA's democracy. The downward slide began during the Reagan years. (A pop vote program will fix nothing.)
