Most of my friends are getting a holiday vacation, holiday bonuses and seeing family.
Here I am responsibly staying put in LA and being pushed to give up my unpaid holiday to do work & pick up other people's slack because I'm the only one still in town and with no OT rate 

Can they even legally do that? At all my old employers they paid us for everything even disciplinary meetings because they said they legally had to

I'm getting paid but it's normal rate instead of a holiday "literally the company is closed but you're working" rate. I theoretically could just say no but clearly they'd lean towards letting me go for being "problematic" since my contract is as a freelancer anyway

And I keep getting told like the day before in all this "sorry not sorry/guilt trippy attitude" and I obviously can't risk losing my job in this economy with the industry shut down. It's just all mentally/emotionally draining since all of it was 100% avoidable
