Remember. It wasn’t Trump that got us here. It was Republican, Conservative, and 3rd party voters that got us here. And anyone telling you “well the 2 party system sucks!” is a conservative mas that they aren’t getting their way.

Realistically all systems are two party systems in republic governments because many issues people care about are usually binary. One can split hairs in legislation but the stuff that drives votes is very simple.
Yeah i agree. I just wish candidates could run without parties, because then there would be actual competition, candidates would actually be forced to try and be better people in addition to the more binary policy choices. It would be so much less divisive, I feel like.

I don’t think there would be. Maybe in the front end there would be but behind the scenes you’d still see the same shit. Particularly as the 3rd party candidates would be used as proxy pawns for the more well off parties.
