I'm in a Lyft where the drivers attempt at small talk has been asking me about my career, then invalidating the gaming/esports industry, & saying "these kids need to focus on doing real things with their lives" & "what has the world come to." Good morning, be kind to each other

*Hate* when people do that. I don't watch esports because they don't appeal to me. They DO appeal to other people and don't harm me in any way so let them have their fun! Gatekeeping harmless entertainment, "what has the world come to" indeed.
Lol I just think it’s hilarious that a Lyft driver is mocking someone’s full-time career in an industry bigger than movies and television. There’s nothing wrong with what he’s doing, but people need to sit down and know their place.
