Two million of Yemen's seven million school-age children do not get to go to school at all, according to the United Nations. More than 2,500 schools have been put out of commission.

That’s hard to process.... utterly tragic but at the same time..full of determination to do something normal, under appalling circumstances.

This is so terribly sad, triumph in the face of adversity, optimistic regardless of the circumstances and especially in the face of unrelieved hardship or adversity. Hard to believe the building looks far from safe, very difficult to see

Is that structure even safe to be in? The conditions that these children have to live in is just horrible. How devastating.

It is utterly amazing that these children will crawl through rumble to get an education, when in America so many would crawl through rumble to avoid it. Why is it so many other countries recognize education is the tool to prosperity, yet we here is U.S. really don’t.

This image is SAD & INSPIRING at the same time. Sad, because these children have seen nothing but war and destruction around them. Inspiring, because no matter how their attackers attempt to destroy them, no one can stop the brave to live, learn and educate. #YemenCantBreathe

Their teachers are order of magnitude more brave and dedicated than our unionized teachers who indoctrinate more than they teach. (they probably indoctrinate the kids as well though)
