Philosophers like Kierkegaard and Buber say that we always regret and feel loss for the other option, whatever it was. When it is something so big and emotive like this, it's even more likely. Guilt implies you did something wrong, but you just did the best you could at the time.

One of my best friends had an abortion at 18, she asked me to go with her for the support. I did and never ever regretted that. It was tough for her but It was HER CHOICE, HER LIFE, HER BODY!

In high school I drove my 17 year old best friend and waiting for her in the lobby to take her home no questions asked. Her body, her choice.

I have not. But my mother had an abortion a couple years before she had me, when a man raped her on their first date. Would have been 77-78ish. She never regretted it but asked me if I judged her when she told me. Never. I also held my friend's hand while she had an abortion.
