    If you're wondering why devote one full to female journalists: journalism like many fields, is still dominated by older white guys like myself. I'm Jewish-American and a Zen Buddhist priest, but still probably fall into white guy category. Women deserve more recognition.

    This is amazing. ICE agents calling for the organization to be dismantled. ICE once targeted "transnational criminal organizations that facilitate cross border crimes impacting our communities and national security". I know special agents who joined to do that, not be gestapo

    Fuck “thoughts and prayers”. I’d rather have gun control laws and body armor. Contrary to popular belief, Japan has guns—It’s just very difficult to get licensed to use them. They’re 122 million people here. We had less than 10 gun deaths last year.
