NEWS UPDATE: The defense department says it already issued guidelines to the AFP after the COA report findings that the military has unclosed bank accounts.

The DND says it has been processing the closure of these accounts. However, "some accounts cannot be closed outright as these are the depository accounts for our current projects, most of which are multi-year obligations."
