But the story is about someone who supposedly died b/c wasn't administered the Tamiflu doc prescribed. That's clearly implied in the piece. It's a completely evidence-free assertion. I'm amazed that in 2020 there are still newspieces conveying Tamiflu as a life saver. It's not!pic.twitter.com/9itJHah5t1

There is no RCT showing parachutes prevent death when jumping out of planes either

Nice try. But most medical practices are not parachutes. http://cmajopen.ca/content/6/1/E31

It's not about Tamiflu. If you point out issues with an approved drug, then that does in no way increase the efficacy of potatoes in socks. Or any other alternative medicine. If someone is really sick, go listen to the doctor. Not to some doofus on the internet. Not even us.

She went and listened to the doctor. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu. The mother didn’t give the tamiflu to the child. The implied message of the article is that the kid died b/c he wasn’t given Tamiflu. A drug that NO RCT EVER has showed to reduce mortality.pic.twitter.com/kbXKIOKlk7

Your paper is from 2001. You are obviously totally ignorant of the Tamiflu fiasco, whereby in 2014 it was finally shown, with the full data of all RCTs FUNDED BY ROCHE, that Tamiflu did not reduce complications or mortality.pic.twitter.com/tt4Vp395vg
