The stuff that stood out for me:
None of the team's sites use a modern JS framework (I expected to see a lot of React)
They all have render-blocking scripts in the <head>
Images are often 10x bigger than necessary
Over 70% of the JS & CSS is necessary for 1st render
But on the plus side: every site uses HTTPS, and most use HTTP/2, minify CSS & JS, use gzip in the right places, and serve decent caching headers.

Cheers! It's kinda difficult to balance. If you create performance examples they're seen as fake. If you use real-world examples it can seem like you're shitting on the developers. I guess I went for the second open, but tried not to seem too snarky.
I particularly enjoyed your "Final Thoughts". The bubble is very real, particularly when you go further into the tail. The number of domains used also screws with things like HTTP/2 (and may not have been obvious during protocol dev on large sites without the same problems).
Also, you don't thanked enough for WebPageTest. It saved me so much time, and it was great to be able to embed the filmstrips & timelines in the article.
