This movie is going to blow up on Disney+ and some exec is going to make the case that animated movies don’t belong in theaters, when in reality they just aren’t being marketed.

That said, not really crazy about some of the data updating being manual. There's an email that goes out when the GTFS data is changed, as opposed to like, an endpoint you could just periodically ping against.

I don't get NJT Bus routes, so I want to make a dynamic system diagram so I can. Already got the NJT API creds, just need the time to do some exploration.

My portfolio site will eventually pull in posts from my Matsudon instance and the combined feeds of me, Dubolt, and Vibbbes will populate that social/blog section, with the niceties of having federated Mastodon users be able to interact with those posts directly via ActivityPub.

At the same time, I very rarely write actual article length blogs, and putting out short length posts and threads more or less accounts for the sort of writing that I actually do.

Basically, my thesis for all of this is that ActivityPub based services like Mastodon aren't really great Twitter replacements, but they are good Tumblr replacements, which is actually what my blog, when I had one, was running on.

So I've got my personal Mastodon instance running (@me@jaehanley.social), eventually

@dubolt

and

@VibbbesMusic

will also get accounts there as well. I'm not really trying to replace Twitter with this, but I am going to experiment with federated microblogging.

How long until Elon starts charging for the Twitter API? Kind of feels like that's next. Going to be a lot of "remove login with Twitter" tickets when that happens.

They have a week to put together a feature that undermines the entire point of the verification system and will shake third party confidence in Twitter as a platform.
