Worth remembering that the illegal actions and norm violations of the prior administration do not justify the illegal actions and norm violations of the current administration.

Opposite illegal actions and norm violations bring balance to the force.

Yes but the current illegal actions and norms violations certainly does not mean we cannot even mention those of the previous administration.

Running guns to drug cartels, harassing political opponents with the IRS, lying to federal judges about illegal actions on immigration, and using the intelligence services to spy on opposing campaigns. You could make a case that Trump has done as bad, but exponentially worse?

Not saying I favor tit for tit (I don’t). But the reason that it occurs is that it often leads to long term cooperation between adversaries of equal power.

But it would be nice if most of the media and Democrats didn’t pretend that the Obama administration never did anything illegal or violate a norm.

It's going to be super awesome when the defenders of the next administration shove Trump in everyone's faces yelling about how whatever outrage they're committing now was totally supported by him and everyone even vaguely connected to supporting him. Circle of life, etc.

Not sure of what “illegal actions” from the previous admin you’re referring to, but don’t pretend that this Admin is in same stratosphere of prior Admins when comes to “illegal actions” and norm violations. We’re way deep in uncharted waters.
