In the same filing, lawyers and NGOs working to reunite separated families say they still have not been able to reach parents of 120 children. Of them 87 are believed to have been deported by the Trump administration when they separated the families.

Earlier this month in a federal court filing the Department of Justice said 563 children deliberately separated from their parents at the border by the Trump administration have been reunited with family members due to the work of the task force created by President Biden.
