@jacobhelberg Haven't read the book yet but your thesis bets on China overtaking the 'English speaking and beyond-world' w/o attracting the best to their Universities? Who would take up a job at China's "Berkeleys and Stanfords"? We can beat them w/liberal democracy

Of course democracy can and should win but we shouldn’t take that for granted. We’re currently trying to destroy our Universities with lottery based admissions and anti-science curriculum overhauls as well. We could be about to enter a period of even greater stagnation
