Pat Brown, later governor of CA, ran for DA of SF in 1943. During his campaign he wrote: "The District Attorney's office has more to do with the unhappiness of people than any other office. . . .[i]t should be handled by a person who is really interested in the welfare of others"

It’s almost like Pat Brown predicted how unhappy people would be with your tenure. (for the record— “the welfare of others” includes the safety of assault victims.)
