Healthcare professionals demanded we drastically reduce the jail population, so we listened. On Jan 21, the SF jail population was 1,238. On March 4, when the emergency was declared, it was 1,097. Yesterday, it was 766. Meanwhile, crime rates continue to decrease in SF.
Honest people assaulted for no reason are the "vulnerable populations"-- not their aggressors. When @PKosarian was attacked outside her apartment building, she wasn't "asked for change". Your muddled lack of empathy for victims of assault is astounding.https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/video-man-violently-attacks-woman-outside-san-francisco-building/ …

I find it interesting that you'd smear an entire population for a single incident but then accuse another person of lacking empathy.

Per SFPD- FY2019-20 Violent Crime Projection: 6,173 total UCR Violent Crimes Property Crime Projection: 48,118 total UCR Property Crimes => Does that look like a single incident to you? Stop conflating homeless & criminals please. The two are not the same.
