@mjtsai Does anybody outside of Apple’s Xcode distribute .their apps in xip format? I never saw it before Xcode 8.

@ObjColumnist@jacobgorban Functionally, signing is the main difference with .zip. Technically, it’s a different format based on .xar. -
@mjtsai@ObjColumnist But if the application inside the .zip is signed, why also sign the package it’s in (.xip)? I don’t see the value. -
