They always find it and ruin it tbh. Lobsters was aiming to be something like it.
I like to think that if lobsters had a more inclusive group to start (since all invites go back to that group) that it would be pretty good today, but it hasn't really lived up to it

I was about to say, I had always hoped Lobsters would be that, but it turned into HN rather quickly. I deleted my account and walked away.
there probably needs to be some better kind of reputation system. if my favorite programmer in the world upvotes a comment, and brogrammer69 upvotes a different comment, those should not have the same impact on what i see
