Hey y’all! A truly useful gender neutral bathroom is not: -employee/staff only/requires someone to let you in when the gendered bathrooms are not locked in the same way -in a different wing/on a different floor when the gendered bathrooms are on every floor/wing

Lol because if she had she would know that there is a huge gentrification problem in Brooklyn. White folks coming in and trying to change the culture of a neighborhood when they are the guest.

Since we can flatout lie in eulogies now, I want y’all to remember me as a saintly 5’8” near-Pulitzer winning master chef with a great sense of humor.

I keep seeing “don’t speak ill of the dead” and let me tell you, I disagree wholeheartedly. Do you have kind words regarding Bin Laden? Hitler? No?? Tell the truth. Your shitty behavior and evil deeds will be your legacy. Consider the impact of your actions while you’re on earth.

A reminder that while Dems and Reps represent different political parties, they occupy the same economic and social class. They go to the same parties, they live in the same neighborhoods, their families are friends.

One of the frustrating side-effects of being 100% self-taught in software and computer science is having massive, *massive* gaps in my knowledge and experience, and accordingly being actually intimidated by entire classes of problems. E.g. parsing. 😰 I’ll blog about this soon.

And right there with it: watching people a decade younger than me in their C.S. degrees tackling things that are way outside the set of things I know how to do. Being an autodidact is great, but it turns out that *having teachers is actually really good.*

Ok so I don't get this "blaccent" convo cause there are multiple regional AAVE dialects each of which produce very distinct accents. Whatever Awkwafina doing doesn't match a single one of our accents. Call it what it is: a minstrel accent.

"Who owns the blaccent?" The BLACK Accent. Who owns it? Idk. Biggest mystery of our time! 🤷🏾
