Saunders says bike lanes make businesses fail and if small businesses fail then big businesses won't move in. City staff studies have been clear that bike lanes get people out of cars and increase foot traffic. Issues with parking can be addressed like on Danforth.

🔭 Today’s PLATFORM VIEW is a look at the math behind Brad Bradford’s claim that Olivia Chow will increase property taxes by 20%. It’s very very silly, with some baseless assumptions. I have awarded it zero stars.

I promise I paid attention to the fancy numbers, too.
TLDR: Chow, Matlow and Hunter want the city to build housing. Bailao, Bradford and Saunders want to get out of the way and let the private sector handle it.

Mark Saunders says again that you attract more bees with honey than salt, advocating for low taxes.
"Is Doug Ford the bee or the honey?" Josh Matlow asks. "Did he serve you honey at the stag and doe?"

I saw these types of streets everywhere in Europe — not just in the big urbanism cities like Amsterdam.
It feels totally natural and way safer than a traditional road with sidewalks.

There is already enough foot traffic to justify something like this for portions of King, Queen, Dundas, and College Streets in downtown Toronto.
And if we did this, TTC streetcars would actually move *faster* because people move out of the way faster than cars do.

Troubling allegations that the director of comms for Ontario’s health minister pulled the plug on an @TorontoStar interview because she couldn’t get the reporter changed to someone she approved of and and told staff to lie about the reason for cancelling.

Korean media is going nuts about this picture.
Since there is a height difference (about 20cm) the korean dude tries to tiptoe in order to get higher. Seeing this @JustinTrudeau widens his stance to match the height and gets dubbed as "manner legs"

I think the most egregious one was Ana Bailao saying she'll "make sure" Ontario takes over the DVP and Gardiner.
Ford has been very clear about the fact that he will not do that.
As has pointed out, her chances on this are essentially 0. tvo.org/article/no-que
