      2/2 but I remember being amazed by the thorough method of captivating the audience with images and dealing with subjects that are not usually dealt with in animation. In fact, director Satoshi Kon was born in 1963, and the anniversary of his death is August 24.

      Have you tried Paprika yet? I've heard that it takes the Perfect Blue concept a step further in Kon's evolution as a story teller and director.

      Kon's ideas all seem to come in for cameos in Paranoia Agent. There's an arc in PA that is very much like Perfect Blue. His movies themselves are more self-contained - Paprika isn't all that similar to Perfect Blue.
