Leftists are primarily concerned with what they call "structural" problems like institutional racism, settler-colonial imperialism, etc. They aren't very interested in sorting the good from the bad individuals. They do, like everyone, hold their political opponents in contempt.
They say they're not interested in sorting good people from bad people, but get more than two of them in a room and watch the inquisition start.
That's totally different from being unduly obsessed with rednecks and how they're ruining the country.
