It's not really true because the biggest ex-lf people were like Sam Kriss and, uh, I guess getfiscal? I guess Tinkzorg now? Not really anybody with significant cultural influence.
Henry and GLT have done alright too, not to mention certain podcasters who will never admit they were there.
GLT would probably be the best example, Henry is just a big account. The Chapo stuff is complicated by it starting 5 years after the forum closed and the hosts being NYC .
henry just does his thing same as always; the lf feedback may have fed into his style in some marginal way but i don’t know that there’s anything identifiable in his posting that is properly from lf
