Everyone, including the Israeli far right, knows that a full genocide or ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is well within the IDF's technical capabilities. An untold number within Israel would prefer that outcome and doesn't care that it is politically untenable.
The Arabs aren't the problem, nor is an invasion. The US has a ton of leverage over Israel and Israel has nowhere else to go, keeping that relationship has been worth avoiding a potentially very popular genocide for decades
