It's funny how US media elites are unionizing, sincerely believing they are thus addressing the exploitation of labor. It may be a fun LARP, but they don't need unions to enforce ideological control, as existed in the USSR (Bulgakov lampooned them with the fictional MASSOLIT)...

The US media's apparatus of censorship, gate-keeping & "cancellation" does resemble its Soviet equivalents in terms of function, but is far superior, more convincing and more sustainable over time. That it is decentralized unofficial & invisible makes it infinitely flexible.
