My guess is between him wanting to clamp down on this (not bc he hates it but bc it makes him look bad) plus "domestic terror" freakout, there will be a downturn in "resistance" and riots for about 2 years. Then the contradictions will get so large as to blow him/Harris away.
That would be cool. The current bad equilibrium is the Romney freaks and the Obama people hold control of their respective parties by dint of people being unable to decide which is worse and giving up entirely.

I do not think it will be cool at all. It will likely culminate in a breakdown period where the Biden admin is unable to either coordinate or stop mass riots based on an incoherent set of problems, with hundreds dead. Nothing good will come of any of this.
