it's honestly difficult to believe how hard the dems have leaned in to escalation.
like honestly you're going to let Ted Cruz sit there and say "maybe we should not allow national elections to take two weeks to decide, it has made people insane, we should figure out why that happened" and call him a traitor after people he has no control over prove his point?

yeah im sorry to say this but if you go after ted cruz and josh hawley then you are going to get some sort of insurrection eventually. people like that are the ONLY hope you have to get some sort of legitimate "genteel opposition" given where the US is.

julius krein wrote an article recently about how trump was a goner and wouldnt be a factor in 2024 because you'd have more moderate populists like cruz, hawley, rubio etc who could do the same job without being insane. so who do the dems go after?
