It just shows you who has institutional protection and who doesn't. Shaun King is doing good work for the bougeoisie so he will not be ruined, for now.
I don't know if there's actually that much of a difference between the two besides the sequence of the articles (both in breitbart). It was more like a negotiation of just how much the designated opposition would be allowed to control the narrative.
