There's reason to think it might bypass vaccine immunity, we'll see if that makes it hardy enough to keep r0>1

Regarding the UK strain, the overall confidence that it "isn't more deadly" suggests it might be less deadly and represent creep towards a naturally-selected vaccine ala smallpox minor. Even so, increasing r0 could mean more deaths.
