I wonder if the Sopranos’ recent resurgence is tied to wanting the mob to come back. They had more of an obligation to working families than politicians or most unions and to be honest probably killed less people than them

Absolutely. The rise in non-union construction labor in the northeast is tied directly to when they took down the mob. The mafia ensured that nobody in their territory did any construction projects without union labor. If you tried, some guys with no neck paid you a visit.

this is obviously true, organized crime pisses off the state because it takes on reciprocal obligations over which the state claims a monopoly
