Rewatched Snyder Dawn of the Dead. Better than I remembered it. Oddly nostalgic period between the invasion of Iraq and Katrina where politics felt low-stakes - 300 is much more tendentious in that regard three years later.

Of course it's got James Gunn writing instead of Frank Miller, too 
I like the action format and the expensive exploding heads. Not as mean-spirited as the other mid-aughts horror remakes.
