I like the action format and the expensive exploding heads. Not as mean-spirited as the other mid-aughts horror remakes.

Rewatched Snyder Dawn of the Dead. Better than I remembered it. Oddly nostalgic period between the invasion of Iraq and Katrina where politics felt low-stakes - 300 is much more tendentious in that regard three years later.

I enjoy it quite a bit. i always really liked watching Sarah Polley, she is a very underutilized actor imho. Also the mall montage is just the kind of fun i want to explore in a zombie movie situation
