It's entirely wrong-headed, same as the stupidpol people screaming about Tucker being a GOP stooge, except their case has more empirical evidence behind it.

It seems to me the other way around - Carlson does work for the Republicans in approximately the same way that Gray works for the Democrats - I guess the stupidpol position is that the Democrats are bad but working for the Republicans is BAD

Gray worked on a Democratic campaign, once. She no longer works there. She doesn't have a show on MSNBC either. Tucker is a pro-Trump propagandist on Fox.
