Every scenario they dream up for Trump to try and stay in office is a scenario they're considering when they lose the electoral college. After all, if he weren't the winner (which he will be) he would do the same.

The Civil War scenario isn't an earnest prediction. Four years ago the democrats fretted aloud that Trump would not accept the result of the election; they did not accept the result of the election.
