Haven't read Freddie's book yet, but have heard him interviewed on several podcasts, and this attempt to link his argument to anything proposed in the Bell Curve is so nasty.

No way I'm going to finish this long-ass piece of dreck, but at the beginning of the review he actually narrates the story of how he was seduced by this devilish book. The most tedious shit imaginable.

Seems pretty clear that what actually happened was he observed the reaction the book was getting and knew he had to get out ahead of this. Probably would not have even admitted to liking the book on his first reading if he didn't know this e-mail was out there.
