To be serious for a second, do either of you consider yourself to have politics conducive to your class interests, or do you consider yourselves class traitors?

Interesting question. My class origins are working class but I went to university in the early 2000's with the same head full of BS that a lot of other working and lower middle class kids did. After that I looked for positions that "meant something" which meant NGO work.

I grew up working class, parents didn’t go to college. On the dole for several years. I went to college for free but dropped out. I taught myself coding and got a job working for the bugmen, so I know I’m PMC, but I don’t share the woke left politics of my coworkers at all.

1) I don't think it's necessarily possible to do a "class analysis" on oneself (see also psychoanalysis, Marx and Engels' lack of interest in their own class position and that of their critique) 2) That said, I'm seeing a lot of thwarted meritocrats and mixed-class strivers

I think the "thwarted meritocrat" thing dovetails with Angela's suggested Coalition of the Canceled. Enforced mediocrity could end up forcing everyone competent into the same corner.
