It's plenty distressing that people really think 20somethings are incapable of being adults
They're not wrong but it doesn't have to do with age, many millennials will never have a shot at adulthood

I think adulthood is coming earlier for Millennials/Zoomers, conversely -- the bubble of permanent adolescence is ended earlier by harsher conditions, not extended

That's not really the same group under discussion here, either. I think 18 was once considered to be a pretty maximalist place to set the age of consent. It's 16 in most states. That logic clearly quietly went out the window long ago.

I think it's very strange how quickly upward the angle of adulthood has shot, and I lean more towards 18.
