On the one hand: many democratic governors called in the Guard and put down their insurrections after what they deemed a reasonable period. On the other: some did not, and the reason for this was plainly political.

There is a strong case for viewing PNW coastal cities as weapons testing grounds for DNC policy. They draw staffers from, and defer almost infinitely to, media and NGO formations that have grown there. By this logic the plan is to use antifa as a political paramilitary.

Worse yet, as long as cities can be trusted to vote Democrat you can safely remove for-cause firing requirements for police and turn them into the mayor's militia. It is staggeringly unhealthy to political life for parties to have militias. It signals a serious crisis.
